In the coming semester there are many exciting events waiting for you!
It starts off on October 26 with a guided tour through Magdeburg's cathedral district. In November we will have a tour through the special exhibition "Faszination Stadt" in the Kulturhistorisches Museum Magdeburg" and a free tour at Magdeburg's company "Förderanlagen Magdeburg" with a focus on their development and construction department. In December we can enjoy the ballet "The Nutcracker" in the Magdeburg Opera House. Since the places are limited, register as soon as possible!

City Tour in Magdeburg
Saturday, 26.10.2019, 2.00 4.00 pm
For 2 hours you will get to see and learn about Magdeburg‘s 1200 year old history and discover the old market place and cathedral. A guided city tour in Magdeburg allows you to learn about the historic background of buildings and monuments as well as the diversity of the city. Participation is free of charge!
„Kulturhistorisches Museum Magdeburg“
Wednesday, 06.11.2019, 3.00 4.00 pm
Together we will enjoy a tour through the special exhibition „Faszination Stadt“ in the „Kulturhistorisches Museum Magdeburg“. Here you will get an in-depth understanding of Magdeburg‘s history within the European context and are welcome to look into the art and cultural history of the city. Participation fee is 4,50 per person. You can pay in cash at the MIPS office.
Förderanlagen Magdeburg (FAM)
Tuesday, 26.11.2019, 9.00 am - 12.00 pm
We will visit the company Förderanlagen Magdeburg (FAM). FAM has its headquarter in Magdeburg, operates internationally and produces machinery for bulk materials handling, processing and opencast mining. You will get an insight into their working processes and company culture. The focus of the tour is on development and construction. Participation is free of charge!
Magdeburg Opera House
Der Nussknacker/ The Nutcracker

At the end of the year we will enjoy the ballet „The Nutcracker“ at the Magdeburg Opera House. The choreography is by Gonzalo Galguera, the Magdeburg Director of Ballet, based on a fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffmann, with Music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Participation fee is 4,50 per person. You can pay in cash at the MIPS office.
